• Hi!

Now and then I get the following error message:

    ************************************************
    Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, c5273 and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Additionally, a 500 Internal Server Error error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
    Apache/2.0.55 (Ubuntu) mod_fastcgi/2.4.2 mod_vhost_ldap/1.0.0 Server at http://www.xxxxx.xxx Port 80

    ************************************************

The times I get the error is when I:

    1. Try to login. I immediately get the error, yet can access the backend by selecting “edit” on a post
    2. Try to save changes made in the backend. The changes go through, even though I dont get an acceptance – I get the error, and the changes are made…

    Any ideas? Slightly irritating…

    Thanks,

    David

  • You’ll need to see the error logs from the server. If you don’t know how to access them, ask your host.

They *may* provide some useful information about the actual error condition – “500” is jsut an indictation that something didn’t work right.
