Installing new Plugins

its been a while since I have install a new plugin.

Now that I’m trying to install two of them(buddypress and wp-members plugin), when I activate them and then refresh the page or go to one of menu items on the right the next page will come up blank, it will never end up coming up.

I’m using FTP and wordpress dashboard to upload then or activate them
