Cannot find place to upload plugin for document embedder

    Ok…I’m new. I can’t even tell you what version of WP I’m using. I had a free blog (asawomanthinketh.wordpress.com). I upgraded to my own domain name (revsherri.com). I opted to host via WordPress because I didn’t want to figure out how to move the blog to another host. But, I think I regret it because I don’t seem to have some basic functionality like embedding documents, creating buttons that show other hidden/archived content, etc. So, my question right now is how do I embed documents like ebooks, PDFs, Word docs, etc?
