    Hi,

after upgrading to 5.5.3 from 5.5.2 I lost translation to polish language. Before update all back-end and front-end titles/texts where in polish, after upgrade everything is in english. WP is in polish.

    Can’t find any solution 🙁

    Hi,

How did you translate the plugin / events?

i’m using polish .po .mo files delivered with plugin.

is this issue is only isolated to EM and wp is still translated ?

    yes, WP is still translated.

Do you still see a Polish language file under /events-manager/includes/langs ?

Yes. Polish .po .mo files are still under /events-manager/includes/langs

I did a small test. I’ve changed version to 5.5.2, and did an upgrade once again to 5.5.3, and saw errors during upgrade:

Warning: An unexpected error occurred. Something may be wrong with WordPress.org or this server’s configuration. If you continue to have problems, please try the support forums. (WordPress could not establish a secure connection to WordPress.org. Please contact your server administrator.)in …wp-includes/update.php on line 287 and same for …wp-includes/update.php on line 435

That sounds like your server isn’t letting you connect to the WordPress servers to upgrade. That said, I’ve seen that message often on my test machine and that upgrades ok.

Is the Polish .po file on your server the default version or your version?

    Thread Starter rad-t

    (@rad-t)

    But upgrade is compliting OK.

Yes .po file is the original one from install package.

    What about the .mo file?

    Thread Starter rad-t

    (@rad-t)

.mo and .po – all original

Then it sounds as if the modified .mo and .po files were overwritten when the plugin was upgraded. You’ll need to replace them with new copies of your .mo and .po files.

    Solved 🙂

I replaced .mo and .po from older version and it works 🙂

    thx.
