You probably need to read over this stuff: http://markjaquith.wordpress.com/2006/10/28/some-wordpress-205-users-reporting-server-500-error – even though you’re not seeing the 500 error, the blank page situation can be symptomatic of the need to install the plugin available through Mark’s site.

Right…. sometimes you won’t GET the server error, but the blank pages can mean you need the plugin anyway.
