Pics not appearing

Heeelp!

My pictures are suddenly not appearing – not in post body, not in the featured images.

See this post – you can see the ‘broken image’ thing is there:

I’ve uploaded via the media library, and also via the in-post uploader …nothing. I’ve tried different sizes too, and I’ve tried with JPGs and PNGs.

The media file is there – when I go to the library it’s there – but when I go to ‘view attachent page’ it’s just the little broken image icon.

Any suggestions? I installed one new plugin today (custom post order) – have deactivated that but no joy.

…also if you do the ‘open image in a new tab’ you get this message:

We cannot complete this request, remote data could not be fetched

I am having the exact same problem. All my product images as well are not displaying. Only difference with me is, when I go to view in the media area, it’s fine. Picture shows.

Yep, it’s happening with product images too.

Please note this shop is not yet live!! But here’s a product:

The main image is there, but the gallery beneath it is displaying broken picture icons too.

I suspect it’s a temporary WordPress/JetPack issue. You may notice that at the time of writing, even the avatars on here aren’t loading.

Huh – weird! The avatars are loading fine here (though my site images still aren’t…) – I’ll leave it a couple of hours and check back.

I take that back about the images on here. It was a local issue <blush>

Anyway, those images of yours that aren’t loading are being resized by a jetpack module. Maybe there’s a temporary issue there?

Try disabling the resizing module (I don’t use JetPack so I can’t name it). See if that makes a difference.

I have the same problem, but it’s been like this for atleast two weeks now :/
[edit] In my Media Library, the pictures are dead as well..

@pedalkraft: Can you replicate the problem using the default Twenty Fourteen theme with all plugins deactivated?

As in, switch themes right now?
Will try this afternoon (just did something to drive traffic there so don’t want to confuse anyone for next hr or so).

Okay… so it has suddenly started working.

I deactivated Jetpack’s Photon about 10 mins ago, nothing happened right away (yes I cleared cache)…

But now my images are there, so must have been that?
