PHP 5.2 is no longer a supported version (it’s actually 8 years old!)
So try asking your host to upgrade your site to 5.3 or 5.4.
I think you should take in account how many websites use PHP 5.2. Its almost a majority.

Users of old version of PHP can continue to use the previous version of PHP Browser Detection (pre v3.0). For most people upgrading to PHP 5.3 is a very trivial task and offers many benefits. We view this as the same as supporting IE 6 (or an equivalent) older browser so at this point it is not a priority. We really would encourage you to try upgrading to a supported version, PHP 5.2 is at “end of life” currently.
Please kindly provide a downloadlink for the latest version prior 3.0
Thanks..
I am receiving the same issue and my friends website hoster doesn’t upgrade the used php version… so.. we’re busted.
