I’m running into a problem where after a short time editing a post the “publish” and “save draft” buttons become disabled and will not re-enable.

If I switch to “distraction free” editing mode I’m able to save my work. Then when I go back to the normal view sometimes the publish button will come back, other times it won’t and I have to refresh the page to get it re-enable.

I’m seeing this across different sites with different plugins and themes on my multisite 3.9 installation.

It started after upgrading to 3.9.

    Is anyone else seeing this?

Can you replicate the problem using the default Twenty Fourteen theme with all plugins deactivated?

i think your browser is not rendering scripts properly . If your internet is slow it can happen . Try disabling the adblock . Enable javascripts in browser and then check

I’ll try replicating the issue with all plugins off and a default theme. Since I’m seeing it across different WP sites I thought it might not be a plugin issue. But they may all be sharing a common plugin that’s to blame.

I’m afraid that this could be the case as we’ve not see any issues like this that haven’t been due to a bad theme, plugin or a borked upgrade. Start by ruling out any common denominators across all of the sites.
