When the option to subscribe to email list while commenting is used, the subscribe confirmation only fires after the comment is approved.

Is it possible to fire the confirmation email when the comment is submitted?

I’m not sure to be real honest with you, but I agreed that this could be controlled by an Filter somewhere.

What I will do is create a Issue on our Tracker for that enhancement to be developed in the near future.
