I am not sure how my pages are being sorted on my menu, but they are not alphabetical nor in the order I arrange them. As soon as I save the arrangement under “menus” the order goes back to this strange order.

I have tried adding page numbers, adding code to index.php but neither have worked.

I also tried the my page order plugin.

How can I find out what order it’s defaulting to and how to change it to follow how I arrange them via the menu?

    Thank you.

What theme are you using? Where did you download it from? Can you replicate the problem using the default Twenty Fourteen theme with all plugins deactivated?

I use Saladmag from Theme Forest.

I changed to 2014 and deactivated my plugins. I’m not sure what order the menu is in, but now the sub pages are in alphabetical order which is good, but some have come out of a sub page onto a page of their own, and i’m still not sure how they are sorted.

    Thanks for your quick reply.

I see why the subpages came out, because they were under a category not a page

They should in the same order as you have them listed in the Pages -> View All Pages of your admin area.

If this is a theme issue (and I suspect it is), I’m sorry but as you appear to be using a commercial theme, you need to seek support from the theme’s developer/vendor. We do not support commercial products here.
