Add a limit attribute to the shortcode.
[hms_testimonials limit=”10″]
Thanks! I’m sorry I missed that in the documentation! I’m trying to set the character limit to char_limit=380 but when I click on the “read more” link the text is still cut off at 380 characters. What am I doing wrong? You can see what I mean here: http://eyesbrytedesigns.com/majestic/testimonials/

That’s because you are already limiting the text on that shortcode. You would need to redirect to another page that lists the full testimonials.
