    First, download a fresh copy of your theme (Retail Therapy) and place that in your site (in /wp-content/themes/retail-therapy).

    That should get your site up and running again.

    Second, look into using https://codex.wordpress.org/Child_Themes (it’s also what the instructions clearly mention).

    Hi,
    I already customized my site so I don’t want to reload wordpress. BTW – I created a child theme. And there was still an error. So I deleted my childtheme folder but the error persists.

    It makes no sense to me.

    I deleted the whole child theme because even when I cleaned the file – the error still existed. So my next step was to remove the WHOLE FILE.
