api key [given by wp] appears to be invalid

    On 11-27-06 I registered to get an api key for http://www.foundationforhumanity.com

    I recieved the following in a reply email from wp: Your WordPress.com API key allows you to use services like Akismet @ http://akismet.com/
    API Key: ***************

    I tried to use this key and it gave me an error message telling me it was invalid.

    I have tried to login and get support about this but wp did not recognize my user name and password that I used to get the key [above].

    Today, I re-registered with the same name and password or I would have never gotten here. How is all of that possible?

    2nd question: what do I do with an api key that does not work? Can someone assist me to get one that does work?

    Because you are on a different site!

    You get the API key at wordpress.COM
