    Will email address be synced with WordPress if that issue is fixed? Mailchimp will not function otherwise.

    Is there any plugin that can add a custom email in BuddyPress profile that is synced with WordPress profile?

    Solved this using profile_get_field_data + wp_update_user + bp_after_profile_edit_content
