Post Revisions Missing

I lost a post I was working on all day and went to look for the revisions option and it is not there. I am in the post edit screen and I scroll to the bottom and revisions are not there. I go to Screen Options and there is no revisions available to be checked, it just isn’t there. I am running the 2012 theme and I tried deactivating all plugins to no avail. I am perplexed.
