Speeding up the Slider on a new Site

    Hi have just developed this site http://www.mantle.co.nz
    and wondered does anybody know How I can speed up the loading of the slider?
    I have a cache plug in and have compressed the images is there anything else I can do?
    It is hosted on Gator in the States.

    One of the images initially spanned 100% width of the page. Is your slider resizing all of the images?
