Can't disable sorting

    I needed to disable sorting because there seems to be a serious problem with sorting lists in v3.8.2.

    Reverted to v3.7.1 which sorts my user lists without any problem.

    However, v3.7.1 shares the problem reported above: can’t disable sorting in a public list.

    I’d like to give more details about the sort problem in v3.8.2 but it is quirky. Two lists sort perfectly, another has some rows disappear when sorting, another has all rows vanish when sorted. In all cases refreshing the cache brings back all rows. No vanishing data with v3.7.1.
