    In theory you can do that. You can edit 784 onwards of the plugin, but this would require you to change the plugin everytime there is an upgrade.

    if ( isset( $matches[2][0] ) && $matches[1][0] ) {                      // any image there?

    thanks for reply i was toying with those lines before you replied, i did something like

    if ( isset( $matches[1][0] ) && $matches[1][0] ) {                      // any image there?
    $postimage = $matches[1][1]; // we need the second one!
    }

    since i had no idea what those arrays meant lol

    You’re right, you need to use $matches[1][2]

    if ( isset( $matches[1][1] ) && $matches[1][1] ) {                      // any image there?
    $postimage = $matches[1][1]; // we need the second one!
    }
