Excerpt Issue

    Hello,

    Since the upgrade, the excerpts have changed. Before, it used to pull the excerpt that I placed in my themes options. Now, it is pulling the first few words from the article itself….

    I have pictures as the first thing in my articles, so my excerpts are showing this stuff.. “[caption id="attachment_7400" align="alignright" width="240"]“

    Is there a way I can make the excerpt appear like it did in the last release?

    Using excerpt will causing some issue, so I decided to switch to display the content. To remove the caption shortcode please read it http://wordpress.org/support/topic/problem-with-caption-included

    Hi Satrya,
    I’m experiencing the same issue. Is there a possibility of reverting this behavior or giving users the option to use the excerpt instead in a future update? The change makes some of our posts look rather ugly, especially press releases. (They come up with “For Immediate Release” and the press contact info rather than what the post is about.)

    @dtelliott86 I will think about it, it might be a good option for the next release 😉
