What type of image file did you use and where did you put it?
StageShow (currently) only allows a gif file which must be in the following folder:
{Your-site}/wp-content/uploads/{StageShow–folder}/images
Section 10.4 in the help pdf file refers.
The limitation of the image type to a gif file is purely historical. The PayPal documentation gives no information on what file types are supported, but it seems that GIF, JPG and PNG all work. The next release of StageShow will support all three of these image types.
Could not find the {StageShow–folder} in upload folder, there are tons of images, I have placed the image in “//wp-content/plugins/stageshow/images”

That’s the wrong folder, so it won’t find it and it won’t work!
You need the /wp-content/uploads/stageshow/images folder as detailed in the help file.
