Hi, I was wondering if you could give me some more information about the ‘Top Categories’ section on the ‘Content’ page. Things don’t seem to be adding up correctly so I wanted to know what the percentages refer to? And the hits rates for the categories – are these calculated within the date range selected? If so why don’t all the hits add up to the number of visitors I have during the same date range?

I would appreciate any feedback you can offer.

    Thank you!

    Hi Elizabeth,

I’m assuming you also have pages that are not “categorized”, plus the homepage and RSS feeds 😉

Thanks for getting back to me.

The posts which aren’t categorised as such are still allocated the category ‘Uncategorised’ which shows in the list of top categories.

We are just trying to work out where the figures come from as they don’t seem to be adding up correctly?

Do you have any pages or feeds or homepage? 🙂

We have a homepage and a page about our bloggers..

Our total visits for April 1st – 22nd are: 1813

so how has the top category only had 71 hits? And the top blog has been viewed 223 times yet the category it was under (‘Uncategorised’) is only showing 9 hits…

It doesn’t seem to make sense to us so just wanted to find out where these numbers are coming from?
