"Temporary file missing"???

Still am unable to add media….grrrr. Each time I try, I get an ERROR: Temporary file missing.” I do not understand what this means. What is a “temporary file” or, “temporary file folder”, and how do I find it? Any other suggestions for uploading media are much appreciated.

Thanks to those of you who previously offered suggestions. Still stuck on this problem!
