    Hello!
I’m using Postie plugin for posting per email, but I have a problem when I try to send an image or a file with the message. That’s because I can’t set the two folders (wp-filez and wp-fotos) as writeable: my hosting server doesn’t allow me to set chmod to 777 for file or 750 for folders! 🙁
They say that Php and Ftp belong to the same user “Ftp”, so that Php doesn’t have to ask for a permission.
So, if I cancel the part of the plugin where it aks for the permission it should work, isn’t it?
Please, could anyone help me and say where should I delete the code?

    Thank you,

    ‘ndrea

  • I’m not familiar with this one, but, have you tried going through the posts over here once yet? Maybe someone else around here can help you better? Good luck!

Sooo… Somehow I’ve solved this problem. I have re-created the two folders wp-filez and wp-photos and they were now recognized as created by me -> so writeable with a 740.
    hm… that’s my interpretation, I’m not a coder 🙂

    So… [resolved] !

Glad to hear you got it fixed now! 😉 🙂
