If they are adds from Hostgator, then you need to wait longer for the nameserver settings to change over. It can take up to 72 hours for nameserver and DNS changes to propegate around the net for your domain to point to the new server.
They are not ads for hostgator. They are for other sites similar to the one I bought, or do hostgator allow other people’s ads to sit there and charge them for it? Don’t know. Happened to me a while ago but can’t remember what caused it. Hostgator is my host so I would have thought it would have come up straight away.
The other site has come up straight away, or perhaps it is just a fluke.
Some places, including Hostgator, do show adds on parked domains. That’s another way that they try to get a few extra cents out of newly registered domains.
Just because you’ve registered two domains at the same time doesn’t mean that they will both have the same response for DNS changes. Sure they should, but there’s never any guarantee of that.
If you’re at all concerned, contact Hostgator and ask them. They’ll be able to tell you what’s going on as they are the ones that are looking after it all.
Thank you for your great response.
