Used for variations box missing

    This check box that everyone keeps telling me to make sure is checked on the Attributes section isn’t even on the Attributes section. Products Data -> Attributes.

    The only checks I have are, “Visible on the product page”.

    How and where do I find the “Used for variations” box for each product?

    My WordPress is 3.8.2
    I’m using the WP Default Theme Twenty Twelve (for now)
    My WooCommerce Plugin version is 2.1.7
    This is a fresh install so there are no other plugins active at this time.
    I’ve looked high and low for the “Used for variations” because my shirts come in different sizes and colors and lengths and all that needs to be selected prior to purchase.

    Sometimes I have to ask the question before figuring it out…
    So what happened was…
    I had my Product Data selected as a “Simple Product” Instead of a “Variable Product”.
