CSS inner/outer div issues

i’m having an issue w/ my inner divs stretching past my outer divs (in FF). i would normally assume this is an issue related to floats.. but the only float i have in there (the author image div) is cleared. so, can someone pls look at my code/stylesheet and see if they have any ideas. i’ve been taking things out, putting things in, etc.. and nothing seems to work. ATM, i have overflow:auto; applied to the content-area div so that the info scrolls in FF, but i don’t like the scrollbar.
