• Hello,

I am a newbie in the world of WordPress, Localhost and
    ‘make-a-website-by-yourself’.
It took six hours yesterday (including breaks) 😉
to install XAMPP, WAMP and WordPress.
Had some problem Apache and MySQL; but by
    research I solved this problems.

Yesterday evening I start to practice make a website
by a movie from YouTube. Everything was fine (and easy!).
This morning I woke up and can’t log in in WordPress.

    These are the results:
http://localhost/wordpress/admin = The requested URL /wordpress/admin was not found on this server.
http://localhost/wordpress/wp-admin/ = The requested URL /wordpress/admin was not found on this server.
http://localhost/wp-login.php = The requested URL /wp-login.php was not found on this server.

What is wrong or what do I wrong?

    Here is more information:
XAMP = is working (Apache & MySQL)
WAMP = is green and is online
    Localhost = is working
    localhost/phpmyadmin = working
    Skype/Virusscanner = are off

    Question:
How get I the screen to log in to mine WordPress, like as I did yesterday?
I created my own username and password yesterday, I still remember
    this information.

I checked google and this forum; no information was able
    to solve this problem.

Hopefully somebody can help this newbie. 🙂

  • Well, XAMP and WAMP are two different things, so you should use one or the other. Are you using the right one?

If so, did you make sure to start up the server software?

    Thanks a lot!

    So stupid of me… 🙁

Thanks again for the feedback; I am defiantly a newbie…

No problem. We’ve all been there. You’ll be an expert in no time. I learned most of what I know working in localhost.
