    I have a RTL/Arabic news website.

    I am using YOAST WP SEO Plugin for my standard xml sitemaps.

    I am looking to add a Google News Sitemap, or to completely replace YOAST’s xml sitemaps with a new plugin that includes Google News Sitemap.

    Will BWP GXS work well with Arabic (as it doesn’t show as a supported language)?

    If yes, I will probably disable YOAST’s XML maps functionality and replace with yours.

    I haven’t tested myself but it should work, the issue is that you will have to manually add your language.

    I will definitely add support for custom language in the next version.

    Thanks.
    I installed it on a sub directory test/development site I am running, and the plugin generates the news file easily except of the <news:language> tag that is set to English (as Arabic is not an optional language on the drop down menu.

    Can I change it manually to “ar” in one of the php files?
    If yes, which php file should I search for this code?

    Thanks!

    By the way, I am happy to give you access to my admin to try playing with my RTL content (but English back-end) website.

    It looks like it should be very easy to add more languages to the list of languages on the dropdown menu.

    Please contact me directly if you want to play with RTL site.
    Even though I must admit it is pretty straight forward.
    Only the titles/urls show up in Arabic (gibberish when romanised…)

    Here is an example:

    <url>
    <loc>
    http://khas1.al-taqareer.com/%d8%a7%d9%84%d9%82%d9%85%d8%a9-%d8%a7%d9%84%d8%b9%d8%b1%d8%a8%d9%8a%d8%a9-%d9%84%d8%a7-%d9%86%d8%aa%d9%81%d9%82/9064/
    </loc>
    <news:news>
    <news:publication>
    <news:name>التقارير.كوم</news:name>
    <news:language>ar</news:language>
    </news:publication>
    <news:genres>UserGenerated</news:genres>
    <news:publication_date>2014-04-04T23:30:28+00:00</news:publication_date>
    <news:title>القمة العربية .. اتفقنا على ان لا نتفق !</news:title>
    <news:keywords>السياسة</news:keywords>
    </news:news>
    </url>
