News page

Hi everyone!
Im using Twenty Twelve theme.
And here is my problem:
i need to make a special news page (not index) on my web site, i’ve copied index.php code (original) to a special template page – mynews.php.
I’ve created a new page in console and chose a MyNews template for that page.
i thought that would work like an ordinary index.php, but there is no posts displayed 🙁
what should i do? how to make it work?
Please, help me to find out ^.^
