@mededot – Something, my guess is your theme, is loading an older version of jQuery than the one currently bundled with WordPress core which is the version of jQuery that NextGEN Gallery needs to operate correctly.
I would suggest trying a default WordPress Twenty series theme to see if this sorts out the issue and if so, I would recommend contacting your theme author in regards to the version of jQuery they are loading.
Thanks!
– Cais.
Ok thanks a lot for this feedback! I’ll dig into it and get back to you here. Thanks
Hello Cais,
I switched to the twenty fourteen theme to try out the differences:
First the lightbox effect works, but only for one image. I was under the impression that i could navigate through images while viewing images through the lightbox.
Secondly, the whole page reloads when i click next or back below the images. Should this be the case or should the images just change without reloading the whole page?
Thanks.
@mededot for those galleries you have selected the display_type “basic_imagebrowser”, so it works as expected, sliding the images via browser. If you want lightbox, try to select one of those effects in “Other options”. Maybe you’ve done it, but for those particular galleries you’ve set “Nextgen basic image browser” on per post/page basis. From ATP button you have to set “basic thumbnails” in display type if you want to see them in lightbox.
