Moderate your comments, or require registration. That way you can control who’s commenting, and what shows on the site.

Ie. what’s the process for them to become registered? Can I delete them once they have?
Yes you can delete a user. You could also require users to use your contact form to register, then manually add them as a user via the admin panel. Then there’s an option to require registered and logged in to comment.
I see you get a lot of comments, is that why you are not simply moderating all comments?
is there a way to just shut off all comments? i’ve already unchecked any and all comments so that people cannot reply to articles – but i keep getting porn spam in my comments for moderation.
i just do not want comments at all. like i want them wiped completely from my site.
noobdog1, you are probably experiencing “trackback spam”. Do you have any spam fighting plugins installed?
