Using Windows 2000 server IIS MYSQL

    O/S: Windows 2000 Server
    DBase: MySQL version 4.0.22
    PHP: version 4.2.3
    Setting this up on my local server

    I’m having problems connecting to the Database, and get this message (Error establishing a database connection). I’m sure that all details of username/pw/host “used the IP Address” are correct, matter of fact I am using other service like forum in php, using the same MySQL details and its working fine.

    Spent many hours trying to fix this issue but it doesn’t work, also visited the wordpress support and checked all the topics related to the same issue, but I couldn’t get something different than what I did. Can some one please help.
