Login / Register redirect

Hi, I am trying to set up a redirect for users that need to register. At the moment when a user want to claim a listing they have to login and the login redirect takes them to the listing to claim. However if the user does not have an account (which would be in most cases) they have to register. The register page logs them in once username and password is set. How can I get the login redirect which appears in the URL of the login page to transfer acroos to the register page when the user clicks the register link?
