Theme doesn’t extend to admin area?

    I just installed wordpress for the first time last night and I am trying to figure out the ins and outs of the themes.
    One thing I find odd is that the theme doesn’t apply to the admin area. How do I apply the template to the admin area as well?

    As you noticed, themes do not include the admin area. Some searching will turn up admin themes though.
