New user email going to spam folder

    The new user email (with login and password) is going to spam/junk folders.

    I have customized, made unique, taken out url and it is still going to spam folders.

    I see that a SMTP plugin is suggested as a possible fix, but it doesn’t appear to be compatible with 3.8.1

    Any ideas, similar experiences?

    Here’s a great SMTP plugin, which is compatible with v3.8.1:

    You’ll have to sign up for a Mandrill account, but it’s free up to the first 12,000 emails. Mandrill’s great, as it’s built by the same folks who develop Mail Chimp. This should help resolve any mail issues as deliveries are sent through Mandrill’s mail servers instead of yours.

    Hey, thanks jumbo, I’m not sure if I want to add yet another layer to the WordPress, s2Memeber, PayPal equation – it may be going above my pay grade, but I will definitely check it out.
