Home Page Posts Excerpts

I just stumbled upon your theme and I would like to implement it on my site. However, since this is a grid based theme, is it possible to add post excerpts either under the images or to either side of the images?
An example of that can be seen in the inkness theme with excerpts being underneath the featured images: http://demo.inkhive.com/inkness/
