Linking To External Sites

    Hello. I’ve got this really annoying problem and if somebody could help me out I’d be so grateful!

    When I link to an outside site on my sidebar.php or when I write a post, eg ‘www.hotmail.com’, the link includes my own website address and becomes ‘www.thepoofish.com/www.hotmail.com.’ I’ve been through so many topics on here and through all of my files on my FTP and on my WP control panel and just can’t see why this is happening.

    Like I said, any help will be gratefully received. Cheers.

    well, ‘www.hotmail.com’ looks like a relative link, so your browser will prepened the current site to it.

    You want to get in the habit of including “http://” in front of links.

    Ahh, so simple. If I’d sat here for a solid year working on this I’d still not have thought of doing that!
