Update: I attempted to insert a newly-created gallery into a page via the attach-to-post icon and I get “Runtime Exception thrown”. I fear the solution is more complex than I thought. You advice appreciated.
@jelliott2014 – Are you using the current version of NextGEN Gallery (2.0.58)? Also, the Reset Option is not destructive it basically puts most settings to their default values and recalculates and resets the various path and slug values used by the plugin.

Thanks for the prompt reply. It worked like a charm. Outstanding addition to the new version. (Note to other users: I had to delete and reinsert galleries into my pages, but simple to do)
I was aware that the Reset feature was in the new version, and appreciate your reassurance that it is non-destructive. I have a limited understanding of links, slugs, etc. so I am extra conservative. (I saved a backup, just in case.)
Aside: NextGen is by far the most useful and well-documented plug-in I’ve used. Supported well, too. Thank you.
@jelliott2014 – Thank you very much for your kind words and compliments … and that was a very good idea to make a back-up before doing anything you have concerns with. Well Done!

Hi All,
I am currently using:
Wordpress 4.0
NextGen 2.0.66.27
I typically develop my WordPress sites in a subdirectory and then follow the WordPress Codex (directions found here: 2.0.66.27) so that you can access the site from the home page.
My NextGen galleries were working fine until I performed the move. I have found many posts related to this topic but none of the solutions have worked for me.
So, far I have tried:
– Turning off all other plugins and verifying changing back to the 2014 theme
– Changing the NextGen path in the options from wp-content/secure to /wp-content/secure and updating permalinks.
– Uninstalling and reinstalling the plug-in and recreating the galleries
– Resetting All Options and updating the permalinks
Can I get some help on this?
For clarification WordPress uses this path:
public_html/secure
The NextGen Gallery is also installed in that folder with the rest of the WordPress files.
Thanks in advance!
