No there is no 15 IP address limit.
Thank you kindly for the reply. Is there any reason why the Blacklist Manager might not accept any other IPs after 15 have been entered?
Would it be more prudent to install a specific Blacklist manager plugin (if there is one)?
I’ve just tried several tests on different sites and I can confirm that the plugin is allowing me to enter as many IP addresses as I like.
When you say only 15 are allowed are you seeing any errors?
Are you entering each IP address on a separate line?
Are all of the IP addresses in the correct format?
Have you checked the contents of the .htaccess file to see how many IP addresses have been added to your blacklist? (You can view contents of .htaccess by going to the “Settings->.htaccess File” menu)
I have checked the .htaccess file and fifteen IP addresses are present. I have tried a number of different formats, all according to the suggested ones, and on a separate line. I can enter the IP address but for some reason it will not save it. No errors are given for the failure to save.
Thanks for your assistance.
Update – I have no idea why, but after backing up the .htaccess file I can now add additional IP addresses to the Blacklist Manager. Some things in this universe just can’t be explained I guess! 🙂
