Website running slow

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone had any advice regarding how long it takes pages to load for my website.

I’ve had quite a lot of feedback stating the pages take a while to load and i’m worried i might start to loose traffic.

Any informaton would be great as i’m new to the wordpress world.

That is taking a massive amount of time to load, a good place to start would be to run a couple of speed test services and see where the problems are…..

are good places to start.

It seems that a big part of the problem at the moment is server response time, and not anything wrong with the site as such, how is it hosted?

Slowness/high CPU usage could be due to (but not limited to):
– a poor or memory intensive theme
– poor or memory intensive plugins
– your server is slow (e.g., “process hang”, overload, you get a lot of visitors, other problems, etc.).

Test your site at (free online testing): http://gtmetrix.com/leverage-browser-caching.html OR http://www.webpagetest.org/

Thanks for the advice, I think i’ll need to get my head around some of the information from the speed tests.

I got a page speed grade B (87%) and Y slow grade C (78%)

The only thing in red was the leverage browser caching (grade F, 45%)
It says type: server.

So does that mean its an issue on the server side.
