Akismet API Key

I just installed Akismet anti-spam plugin and am trying to get the API key. I keep getting sent to wordpress.com and my they wont accept my login or password since my website is on wordpress.org. How do I get the API key so I can set up Akismet and stop the spam in my comments. Thank you.
