Admin and Dashboard won't load

First, let me say I’m really a novice when it comes to WordPress, but decided to start doing my sites this way instead of using my old Dreamweaver program. A developer has put this site together for me and it’s not live yet. Today was the day I was going to devote to adding and editing pages, but I can’t get the admin side to load. This is the first day this has happened, I can’t reach the developer and I wondered if any of you gurus out there know if there is an issue with WordPress or what if anything I can do. The site itself will load – http://maliasmiles.com/site/ – but when I try to get to dashboard, add or or edit a page, it just grinds away and does not come up or it’s just blank. I’ve been trying to troubleshoot and looked at some posts that said plug-ins may be an issue. But of course I have no idea about that and hopefully I’ll hear back from developer soon, but just thought I’d check with you guys for ideas.
