  • Hi Sara,

make sure your events page URL is correct. It should be http://www.yoursite.com/events but in case it was set to something else you can find out in Dashboard => Events => Settings => Events URL slug

Was this your fist installation of The Events Calendar? If so, you can remove the plugin entirely and install it again manually with FTP. This will resolve any corrupt file errors.

If this does not help you may need to flush the rewrite rules. Go to your Dashboard = > Settings => Permalink and just click the Save Changes button.

    I hope this helps!

I’m getting the same issue. I’ve tried what was stated above and also disabling all plugins. Even tried creating a page called “events” but still got a 404 when I clicked view this page. If I deactivate the calendar It then will let me see the events page. tried doing all this after changing the url in the calendar setting also but no luck.

One more thing you could both try is switching to another theme and see if the calendar works then.

tried that also with basic theme. weird thing is i have a test site with the same theme on the same server that it works fine on.

    Howdy guys,

Thanks for the info Chaos. If you have already tried the default 2013 theme, then it sounds to me like this could be a plugin conflict. Have you tried it with all plugins disabled? If it works, then you can narrow down the conflict by trying to reenable one plugin at a time. If that doesn’t work, sadly a full reinstall is probably in order. Sounds like you’ve already tried just reinstalling the plugins, so you might have to try reinstalling WordPress as well.

I would advise the same thing for you Sara, except I would first start by enabling the default 2013 theme and seeing if the issue persists. Usually these sorts of things are caused by theme conflicts.
