WordPress – blogs for community

I run a busy forum. Just wanted to offer my members a blog feature. Is there a way for my members to signup and get a blog which will be hosted with me?

I’m thinking (for example) each blog could be on a different subdomain.

If anyone is familiar with this or has a better solution, please give me some feedback. I’d love to see a working demo. Thank you!
