login_error div content not showing

I have the plugin activated. When I enter the wrong user name and password, the “login_error” div displays on the login page.

However, there is no content inside of the div. All I see is the red 4 pixel left border on the “login_error” div.

Inspecting the element in Chrome shows the following

<div id=”login_error”></div>

That’s it.
