Widget Random Photo…not random..getting stuck

    After the latest wordpress and nextgen updates my blog cracked. What’s crazy is that the rotating widget on the index page WOULDN’T work at all..but worked on every other page on the blog. I changed template and the same thing happened. I finally couldnt take it anymore and got a freelancer to help me and he figured out it was SRG Clean Archives plug-in which was not allowing it to work properly. I had both of these plug-ins running together for years. After de-activating it, it worked. Now I have to find a new option for archives. Anyway, even though the widget is now working, it’s not working properly. It used to randomly choose pictures in a natural way. One photo every refresh. Now it’s not. It’s getting stuck and will keep showing the same 5 photos over and over. Then after enough refreshes, it will show a new one..but then the other 4 same pics rotating in over and over. It’s not flowing like it was..out of 90 pictures it shows the same ones all day. So frustrating. Any ideas how to fix this or what the problem might be. About to pull all my hair out!

    oh forgot another thing…and the slideshow widget won’t work either. 🙁 I wasn’t planning on using it, but seems something is way up if it does nothing but spin. The gallery itself is working just fine.

    @sierra Have you tried to clear the image cache in Miscellaneous?

    yep. still not working rotating properly. Same 4 or 5 photos..then after 100 times reloading another photo pops up with the same 5 photos. Never acted this way before the update. 🙁

    I had the Beta version installed. The dang gallery widget is still not rotating “randomly”. However, my site is no longer running crazy slow like it was before. The newest version had it absolutely crawling.

    Any other ideas as what to do to get this thing rotating randomly?? I really like this feature! I dont want to give it up. 🙁
