Page content not displayed when plugin activated

When I activate the WordPress SEO plugin, the content of my pages is not displayed, ie an empty or blank looking page is displayed. When I deactivate it again, the page text is shown again as normal.
I see this behaviour has come up a couple of times before, but the resolutions don’t solve my problem. I’ve tried the resolutions for the following issues, but with no joy:
– http://wordpress.org/support/topic/plugin-wordpress-seo-by-yoast-yoast-seo-giving-blank-page-upon-activation (Clean Permalinks setting is off, and I’m running latest versions of both wordpress (3.8.1) & the plugin (1.4.24))
– http://wordpress.org/support/topic/plugin-wordpress-seo-by-yoast-wordpress-seo-caused-my-site-to-display-just-white (the code change required has long since been integrated into the plugin, & obviated too by the looks of it, so this one’s not relevant)I’m running a theme called Brick & Mortar from Two2twelve Themes (t2themes.com). My site is thesoulspace.com.au (I’ve obviously got the plugin deactivated so the issue isn’t currently occurring on the site).
Any advice or suggestions much appreciated!
