Favicon on website

    I have insert the following code into the header.php within <head> and </head>:

    <link rel="shortcut icon" href="<?php echo get_stylesheet_directory_uri(); ?>/favicon.ico" />

    The favicon only display only during log on to dashboard. It didn’t appear when browsing my website. Help…

    You should take the short way to your favicon.
    Upload it in your root folder and in your themes folder. The head-reference could be like this:

    <link rel="shortcut icon" href="http://yourdomain.de/wordpress/wp-content/themes/oxygen/yourfavicon.ico" />
