(I’m sorry, I meant to post this here rather than the “themes” forum)

I’ve started redesigning my site and decided to try using a theme this time (which I’ve never done before). I’ve retained the existing code used in the Default theme for the search box, but moved it from the sidebar.php file to the header.php file.

I’ve found that the search doesn’t really function; it will bring up every post for almost any query. The exceptions to this, oddly enough, would be gibberish words (“dlkfjlewlwe”) which bring up no results.

It works perfectly in the Default theme (I’ve toggled back and forth to check) and I’m not sure what happened. It would seem that if it finds a hit for a word in any previous post, it shows them all. HELP ME!

  • I noticed you marked this [Resolved], but, can you let everyone else know what you did to “Resolve” it? This might help others that are having the same problem as you had.. =) 😉

Honestly? I didn’t do anything. It just started working. Weird, I know, but it hasn’t given me trouble since.
