ipad drop down menu

I changed the header in a child theme of twenty fourteen so that the menu is shown on an ipad:

<meta name=”viewport” content=”initial-scale=1.0, maximum-scale=3.0, width=device-width”>

How do I have to change the drop down menu so that it works on an ipad ? There is no hover on touch devices. How can I fix that with javascript, jquery, whatever ?
